@captainclayman The I3 will work on a p55 board But NOT THE onboard Gpu
@Jtechp im pretty sure the i3 doesnt work on P55 boards
i think it uses like h55 or something.
@captainclayman the i3 too
Why don’t you show the contents of the box anymore?
even if it IS meant for workstations it’ll still work really well for gaming, at least for me. i’m excited to get it.
@HYDROxCODINE nope only 1156, so a core i5 or a core i7 only
can this run a 775 socket CPU?
não é a PRO
@adamjamesroe …well, the i5-750 is quite good for gaming and I’m sure that Hyper-Threading is unnecessary for gaming. A HD4890 has nice performance but it’s rare so I would go for a HD5830. It’s a bit more expensive, but it’s worth. Furthermore I would never trust the Auto-OC. I always OC on my own and only use the BIOS. What if the Turbo V Evo cranks the Vcore to high…
Rusher0 =)
Actually I have changed my mind with the HDD- I’m getting a WD 500GB Sata II.
It would be harder getting a i7 than a i5- I’ll get one in the not too distant future.
@jonathan0o0dawKins so true… lol
this made me laugh…
@BlackSlash13 i belive it is 8x and 8x if you are using 2 lanes of PCIe
@Forthevline if i am honest…no its terrible for gaming, if you want good gaming performance you want at least a HD4890 or a GTX 280, i would personly go for a i7 860 not an i3, because you have hyper threading and you can use turbo v evo to OC the CPU to a minium of 3.4 Ghz, RAM, good, Motherboard…good, you should probably get a SATA II HDD to take advantage of the 6Gb/s transfer rate on the P7P55D-E pro.
thats about it, if you have any more guestions feel free to PM me or Email me.
Thanks for the advice.
I was planning on getting an i5, but it was too expensive for the time being. I’m getting a job real soon, so I can gain the money for that in the long run.
I’m also going to get a 1GB ASUS ATI Radeon 5450 instead, as my retailer sold out of 4670′s.
As for SLI, Good thing this motherboard comes with an SLI cable, though I’m not a fan of Nvidia.
Looks ok for contemporary gaming , you coould upgrade on CPU (an i5 maybe) and definetely go for a better Graphics card .I use two 260 GTX in SLI , 24 Inch Screen
Sorry, I’m a complete noob with technical computer stuff. Could anyone tell me if this is a good combo for gaming?
ASUS EAH4670 1GB Graphics card
ASUS P7P55D-E Pro Motherboard
Hitachi Sata 1TB Hard drive
Thermaltake V3 Case with PSU
Pioneer DVR-218 20X DVD±RW DL SATA
4G Kit DDR3 1333 G.Skill-Ripjaws
Intel i3-540 CPU 3.06GHZ
Just looking for a second opinion thanks. =)
ASUS P7P55D Pro VS. Gigabyte P55A-UD4P
If you are using CrossFireX:
1st VGA: 16x lanes of PCIe 2.0
2st VGA: 4x lanes of PCIe 2.0
check the manual. It’s sad but true . . .
It uses the CPU for the task the northbridge used to do.
My grandpa isn’t happy
Last night after a long day at the office did you drink your self to sleep on a picnic bench then filmed this?
lol the funny thing is my grandmas keyboard and mouse are ps2 ports
@lovelytuber wow, but anyway p55 as no northbridge its intigrated in the cpu i believe
@mrthriller905 go amd its cheaper, and if u want a budget vid card go 9800gt
This is fail, go 1366 x58 or go home!
